We are pleased to welcome Dina Prior as the new Charity Director of Medical Aid Films! Dina’s extensive leadership in the international humanitarian sector and the film industry makes her a perfect fit for our mission. For over twenty years she has led emergency responses in conflict zones, including Afghanistan, Syria and Haiti, and responses to the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa. She has also advised the UN, the US and UK governments and international NGOs around humanitarian affairs. Most recently, she was the CEO and founder of The Reel Foundation.
Dina has a passion for storytelling and creating films that address social issues. Her recent film, The Strangers Case, starring Omar Sy, sheds light on the injustices faced by refugees and aims to educate audiences about their plight. This powerful film won the 2024 Amnesty International Award at Berlinale and Best International Feature at Raindance London
Born in Egypt, Dina has lived and worked in some of the world’s toughest environments. She is deeply committed to alleviating suffering and addressing the root causes of poverty.
