Medical Aid Films announced as finalist for two upcoming industry awards

Representing the most cutting edge social-issue filmmakers of our time, the 8th Annual Social Impact Media Awards (SIMA Awards) bring us face to face with our most pressing global issues.

Medical Aid Films is honoured to be a finalist in the Production Company category of the 2020 SIMA Awards. The awards celebrate eye-opening impact cinema that exemplifies excellence in its potential to inspire social change.

SIMA is a global curator and impact media agency based in Los Angeles, CA that awards social-impact storytelling of excellence, screens films in communities and classrooms worldwide, and supports content creators, educators and change-makers worldwide.

Each year, films are selected from across the globe, with this year’s shortlist including filmmakers from 34 countries.  We’re thrilled to be in such prestigious company and looking forward to hearing the results!

Medical Aid Films is on the Bond Small NGO Award longlist

Acknowledging the small organisations that make a big impact in people’s lives, the Bond Small Impact Award recognises those driving positive change in the world.

We were nominated for our work with maternal and neonatal health nonprofit, One Heart WorldWide. Strengthening and scaling One Heart Worldwide’s ground-breaking health programme model across remote Nepal, the project re-purposed existing film content and cost effectively adapted it to meet the needs of a Nepali and wider south Asian audience.
